How Red are the Greens?

I am a few months from my pension and acquainted with founding members of the Green Party who'll recognize the Title of Skidegate, but wonder how I come to use it here. Much more to come on that. I am a member of the Haida Royal Family, 'though born Kitksan, I was adopted at Skidegate and Potlatched by High Chiefs at Massett in February 2005, and it is my belief that Destiny lies with the Greens of the Planet, and that history will suddenly open itself up to this message and heap praise on those who dare to bring it forward to them.



I Potlatch you now: the Green Party constitutes the bridge between the modern world community and the necessary Global Order. The catalyst of the world's rebirth is Section 35, Constitution Act 1982, which requires 'recognition and affirmation of Aboriginal Title and the settlement of Land Claims'. Canada has exhausted itself trying to validate the British claims here under the Colonial regime but cannot ever displace the Indian Title, nor should it, since Ecology rests on the highest form of Human tenure that we are competent to establish and sustain. The drive to settle Treaties is the same one as lay behind the Residential Schools: the Christian Credo of Jesus Christ, and chosen status within their Church. Well, the Christian belief is wrong and it's practice has proven evil. Against this development the Ancient Institution of Potlatch survives and offers the means of communicating ecological sets of ideas from a perspective outside of the Euro/State models, outside by being both local and global at once.



I havn't found your Aboriginal Policy but strongly advise that you base it on recognizing that Potlatch has always operated over the Province, was attacked by the Church, but has endured; that there is the legal obligation to give Legislative recognition to the Potlatch itself, and to those Titles that pre-existed the Colony, and that the obligation is a personal one, that Individuals have for each other, not as elements of the State, but as Family members and as Members of the Global Order.



Ecology can't be addressed unless Individuals do so locally and globally. This is where the Title Skidegate comes in: Skidegate replaces Jesus!



These are the bold strokes of plans to unite the world and replenish the Planet. I invite you to Potlatch by agreeing to fulfill your Constitutional obligations and to 'legislate' Potlatch accordingly. Think of Potlatch and Skidegate the way communities will as they review our concepts of the future.
